K. Ratnesh exclusive interview at the launch of Bhojpuri Hamar Intequam

K. Ratnesh a Mumbai based Music Director is known for creating soulful melodies. He has scored variety of music for many Films, Television Serials and some Tv commercials but his first love seems to be Bhojpuri cinema as he has spared his maximum time in recording studios in Mumbai and Bihar for Bhojpuri music and many of his numbers turned chart busters. He is down in the line for more than a decade. In this period he has created some really touchy and soulful melodies.

A baby boy was born early in the morning on 1st October, 1967 in a reputed Brahmin family of father Krishnakant Mishra in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh named Ratnesh Kumar Mishra. Later on he achieved Bachelor of Art degree from Kesar Vidyapeeth Inter College, Allahabad University.

About his love and passion for art, music and singing K. Ratnesh says, “Singing at Allahabad Radio Station made me a musician. I was educated and trained in music by three mentors of different sects and disciplines. I got basic education and training in raga based music from Arun Mukherjee, who is a disciple of Bade Gulam Ali Khan Saheb for 6 years. Then I learnt folk music from Shrikant Vaisya and I learnt classical music, playing harmonium and tabla from Pt. Shantaram Kushalkar. I have been radio singer at Allahabad Radio Station from where I got selected as musician.”

Holding commendable knowledge in music K. Ratnesh has diversified work experience in the field of music. He has scored music for a TV Serial Produced by Ganesh Naik (Renowned NCP Leader, Ex-MP Thane & Guardian Minister of Maharashtra), Directed by Adarsh Jain, lyrics by Kuku Prabhash and sung by Udit Narayan in 1996.

He has scored music for several films: Savera (Hindi-2001), Kangna Khanke Piya Ke Angana (Bhojpuri-2003), Piya Tohse Naina Laage (Bhojpuri-2004), Kusur (Hindi-2010), Devta (Hindi-2011), Bulandi (Hindi-2012), Damad Chahi Fokut Mein (Bhojpuri-2013), Guardian (Hindi-2014). Under Production Films:  Nadia Ke Us Paar (Hindi), Insaaf Ka Danka (Bhojpuri), Ishq Samander (Hindi), Battameez Dil (Hindi), Paanch Feet Do Inch (Hindi).
